The Spring 2025 Medical Aid Drive was Salam Support’s first hands-on project, led entirely by our James Madison High School chapter. We raised $500 from 16 donors and used that to assemble and donate 50 full hygiene kits to local masjids across Brooklyn. Our goal was simple: give people access to basic essentials — no overseas shipping, just real help for our own community.
Each kit included:
We packed these ourselves and delivered them directly to Brooklyn masjids, where they were handed out to anyone who needed them. Any leftover materials were placed in open boxes inside the masjids so community members could take what they needed, when they needed it — no questions asked.
This drive was proof that even with a small team and limited resources, we could organize something real and deliver. It was the start of what Salam Support is all about — showing up, helping out, and putting action behind our words.
